ABSTRACT

This discussion is based upon the analysis of just under 8400 fragments of bone and 8300 fragments of mollusc. Bones and molluscs were retrieved from all periods at the sites but the later periods (4 to 6) provided the majority of the material. The ultimate aim of this analysis was to come to some initial conclusions regarding the diet, husbandry practices and the range of fauna exploited by the people who lived in Bilad al-Qadim.
