The Worker, the Recipient, and the Product

Ideally, were we given a choice, what criteria would we use in selecting a helper? We would probably base our selection on one or more of the following: What the helper knows, what he or she can do, and what sort of person he or she is reputed to be. Consider these three attributes as they apply to the specialized professional practitioner called social worker.
