ABSTRACT

George L. Gropper received an A.B. in Social Relations from Harvard College in 1948, an M.A. in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1953, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1956.He is currently serving as a Principal Educational Specialist with the Educational Services Development and Publishing division of the Digital Equipment Corporation. There he serves as a consultant to technical writers who prepare technical manuals and to course developers who prepare courses on computer usage. Course delivery modes include: lectures, printed materials, CAl, and video disc presentations. In his role as consultant he provides advice and training on all major instructional design tasks. He also contributes to programs concerned with broader educational issues such as evaluation and quality assurance. He has been serving in these varied capacities for four years.
