ABSTRACT
Young writers tend to have two-dimensional characters, cardboard cut-outs which move through a series of actions. Or they write about themselves, and the world of story becomes mixed with their own life; for example:
Once upon a time there was a little girl called Daisy and one day she was at the seaside with her Mummy and along came a giant who said fi fie fo fum.
