ABSTRACT

We have been exploring a “new look” at corpus planning: one that strives to be more societally (than has hitherto been the case) than linguistically imbedded. Perhaps, as might have been expected, it has led not only to the development of a number of new formulations, but, also, to the confirmation of certain prior, well-established views and toward the disconfirmation of others. There seems to be nothing that is entirely “new under the sun”.
