ABSTRACT
So far in this book we have considered law creation, law enforcement and the administration of law in terms of the approaches of symbolic interactionism, structural conflict theory and ethnomethodology. We have devoted a chapter to the contribution of each of these perspectives to each of these topics. The difference between this chapter and those preceding it is that each of the three approaches is deployed within this one chapter. Our topic is crime and punishment.
