ABSTRACT
The only openly gay state trooper in Connecticut and possibly the country, Stacey came out after
a fe w years on the job. A n activist at heart, she has ruffled a few feathers in her six-and-one-half
years on the department. A fte r attending the “ Together in Pride ” conference fo r lesbian and gay
law enforcers in N ew York City, she relaxed over a beer in a deli in the shadows o f n y f d
headquarters at One Police Plaza.
