ABSTRACT
I opted to sign up with the police department. For about a year I was a police
man in Ocean Gate.
I went back to Colum bia and thought I was going to go to medical school. I
applied to medical and dental school but couldn ’t get in because my grades
weren’t high enough. After that I became a paralegal at a very big, prestigious
firm in New York City. I worked there for four years, and then decided to go to
law school at the University of Denver in Colorado. A few years later, an oppor
tunity came up for me to be an assistant prosecutor for the city of Newark. I ’ve
done that since 1987.
