Seduction is defined to be ‘the art of tempting, deceiving, and corrupting’, and early marriage is pointed out as the best preventive against this crime, but from the present state of society it is lamented, that ‘the most lovely part of creation, by some means or other, are virtually defrauded of this natural, this moral, and this sacred remedy’!
