ABSTRACT
The Arab leadership in Israel is a clear result of the Palestinian Nakba of 1948. The War of 1948 and the disintegration of Palestinian society have led to fundamental changes in Palestinian social structure, one of which is the creation of the refugee problem and the creation of several disconnected Palestinian communities. The Palestinian community that remained in its own homeland and became part of Israel took a unique course of development directly influenced by the Israeli control system.
