outline different meanings or conceptualizations of ‘development’;

examine how approaches to donor-led development have evolved since the Second World War;

explore the implications of shifts in approaches to development for the relationships between religions and mainstream development studies, policy and practice;

examine different disciplinary approaches to the study of ‘religions and development’.
