ABSTRACT

I’ll try to explain what these mean and why we should accept them. Moore started with a simple question: What does the word “good” mean? This question is the key to understanding morality. If we answer it wrongly, we’ll get everything wrong. So what does “good” mean? The answer, simply, is that “good” means “good.” We can’t define “good.” “Good” is a simple idea, and we can’t break it down into simpler ideas.
