ABSTRACT
I apprehend Sir your reason for declining my paper is an account of the articles I have inserted in favour of Opposition. These articles Sir have every one of them been admitted only on the footing of advertisements. And I could not refuse them. You know Sir how I am surrounded with members who voted on that side, which are my customers… I have however received letters of thanks for my introducing so many articles in favor of Mr. Pitt which I have done gratis, and which as a worthy Baronet writes me more than preponderates against the other articles, which will do no harm but to the seditious etc. etc…. I shall be happy Sir to insert anything you or any other friend of Mr. Pitts may send…without any fee.
