ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter, I wrote about some of the methodological strategies that I developed while working as a university-based, pre-service teacher educator in Turkey. I related these strategies to the idea of a craft-based type of professional education, in the sense that teacher-learners were encouraged to copy and adapt procedures from their previous and current experience. In addition, ideas and attitudes were modelled in order to be passed on. I also took procedures from one area of my work and copied them, in somewhat adapted form, to another.
