ABSTRACT

Genora Dollinger, originally Genora Albro (1913-1996), was born in Michi - gan, one of four children, in a family that blended wage earners and small store-owners (as well as Greenback-Labor, Populist, and Socialist traditionsbut also, to her chagrin, a touch of Ku Klux Klan influence in the 1920s). Growing up in the city of Flint, at the age of 17, in 1931, she became a founding member of the city’s Socialist Party.
