ABSTRACT

Th is chapter explores the emerging new professional curriculum leadership identities of principals, using examples of the Greenway and Elmhurst schools in the cities of Treelane and Hillside. Th is chapter presents case study data from the principals of these two schools, Margaret Draper and Michael Grant (pseudonyms). I do not specifi cally link these cases with broader cultural-political movements, however; that will be part of my conclusions in chapter 7.
