ABSTRACT
Project control is the third element in the functional chain of management after work has been planned and organised. It completes a closed circuit or loop that will enable the project manager to detect deviations from the plan that could be related to organisational or production problems, inefficient use of resources, or the uncertain nature of the work in question. The project manager will be able to take corrective action by adjusting the production process and/or improving the use of resources.
