ABSTRACT
Obviously neither Aravind Adiga nor I think that class is a boring topic to write about; otherwise we wouldn’t be doing it! The recent downturn in the economy did make more people interested in social class again – partly because the recession was predicted to affect the middle class(es) most. In the end it has actually hit the working class(es) more. This already tells us something about why class matters.
