ABSTRACT

Our feelings or emotions are the lifeblood of our existence. Imagine a life without feelings, if you can. Think of Mr. Spock on the old Star Trek series. As a Vulcan, he had no feelings. All he had were intellect, logic, and reasoning. Despite his brilliant intellect, the character was a hapless fellow who evoked compassion. After all, what kind of existence is a life without feelings? If we did not have them, we would experience only thoughts and physical sensations. The feeling of love in all its forms and manifestations is perhaps the most important feeling in life, the one we pursue most, and the one that guides our day-to-day motives and actions. Can you imagine a life without love?
