ABSTRACT
Three nights a week, Paul comes home from work, eats, then goes to sit alone in front of his computer. He stares at the screen, slowly scrolling and reading through the dense text. The “lecture” was written by a teacher hundreds of miles away. Paul studies online because this is the only way he can finish his degree and move on to better work opportunities.
