ABSTRACT
The selected site of this study was a small, parochial school located in the inner city of Minneapolis. A similar study was conducted during the 1991-1992 school year, but it did not include such extensive pre-therapy and post-therapy measures. During that previous study, an unfortunate event took place (a subject of the study was expelled from school before therapy could be completed). Consequently, the Minnesota Sandplay Therapy Group (MSTG) prepared a Mission Statement for the current study, to be signed by both the MSTG and the school principal. This effort was made in order to protect the therapeutic experience of every subject.
