ABSTRACT

In the beginning stage of this process, Jade immediately regressed. She became lost, severely depressed, and was highly polarized. The apparently relatively normal self was very threatened by the underdeveloped emotional self; thus, early suppressed suicidal ideas surfaced (Jade had periodic suicidal thoughts during her childhood as well as teenage years). Her depressive symptoms originated from her earlier distorted belief that “I am unwanted,” or, “I do not belong in this family.”
