ABSTRACT

Spiraling, packing, weaving, blending, cracking, flocking, tiling, sectioning, tessellating, folding, contouring, and forming are some of the digitally assisted form manipulations that join braiding as the tools needed to create the architectural blobs, folds and boxes of the twenty-first century. The language of architectural design is undergoing a revolution unlike any in the past. After all, we have been holding on to “commodity, firmness and delight” for the past 2,000 years.
