ABSTRACT

Generally speaking, the term “model” describes a representation, usually at a smaller scale and in another material, of a thing or a structure. It can also describe a system, such as mathematical formulae, an exemplary person, or a style or an idea. For instance, a conceptual drawing or a diagram is a graphical model of an idea; the architectural model, often described as a “physical model” to differentiate it from a computer model, being its three-dimensional equivalent.
