ABSTRACT
The new pragmatism attempts to be holistic, and yet relies on a process that reduces the challenge at hand to manageable bits. The process caters to the needs of the digital tools being employed to design the architecture. At this point, the consequences of this compromise are not well understood. It may be that pragmatic agendas are met, but little else. Will it still qualify as architecture?
