ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION Different cultures provide different opportunities and conditions for the development of human potential. And the way people express their potential is the product of the historical, cultural and natural conditions surrounding them. Japanese women are not exceptions. Therefore, it is necessary to look into their historical and cultural background to have better understanding of the following two cases of women in small businesses.
