ABSTRACT
IN August 1941 the Japanese Ministry of Education announced that it had completed an elaborate booklet, entitled The Way of the Subjects, which was supposed to contain the new ethical code of the Japanese nation. This new bible was being distributed to all schools and adult organisations for the education and guidance of all Japanese, and especially their youth.
