ABSTRACT
Therefore let us dispassionately examine and compare Japan’s records with her emphatic assurances so as to arrive at some fair understanding. To begin with Manchuria, we derive the figures of imports shown on the opposite page from the Economic Handbook of the Pacific Area and the Japan-Manchukuo Year Book, which clearly tell the story as to how the open door in that region has turned during the decade ending December 1936.
