ABSTRACT

Hatred of poetry is an oddity. I am passionate about architecture – not just great buildings, but houses and shops, museums and football stadiums. And nobody ever says to me ‘I hate buildings’. They are bored when I say, ‘Look at that spire!’ but they don’t hate it. People often express to me indi erence about food (I am passionate about that, too) but nobody ever says ‘I hate food’.
