ABSTRACT

In the two previous notes Potron had announced that he would expose his mathematical model in a forthcoming paper in the Annales Scientifiques de l’École Normale Supérieure. That paper was eventually published in 1913 (see A13/Chapter 8). In the meantime, however, Potron found another prestigious outlet for his mathematical research on economics. Already in December 1911 Potron published two dense papers with a rigorous statement of his mathematical results in the Comptes Rendus de l’Académie des Sciences. Whereas his previous notes addressed predominantly Catholic intellectuals, these papers were written for an audience of mathematicians.
