ABSTRACT
Whereas, in England and Wales, information tends to be decentralized, in Scotland, the National Map Library provides a useful single source of historic maps and plans for all of Scotland. Similarly, the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) holds a useful national archive of drawings and photographs.
