ABSTRACT
Introduction At this point, before turning to an examination of Husserl’s thought in the Logical Investigations, the text of that work itself requires some introductory comment; for amongst other things it is appallingly long (in the definitive Husserliana edition, for instance, it comprises over 1,000 pages), it is badly written, poorly organized, and not always obviously consistent.
