ABSTRACT
Since the Oedipal theory organizes many of the original psychoanalytic themes and controversies (see Chapters 1 and 2), we can now return to them in light of the contemporary perspectives. The relational approach dislocates the Oedipus Complex from the center of the analytic narrative.
