ABSTRACT

This section begins with the early part of the Holt/MSU PDS relationship, from 1989 to 1993. The first essay in this section by Mike Lehman, a key Holt participant in the PDS effort, delivers a retrospective account of his initial PDS experiences. Mike focuses on what it was like for him as a teacher to participate in this initiative. Before turning to Mike’s essay, it seems useful to provide more background on the MSU PDS effort.
