ABSTRACT
In chapter 2 we considered a number of data preparation issues in structural equation modeling. In this chapter, we move beyond data preparation in describing the important role that correlation (covariance) plays in SEM. We also include a discussion of a number of factors that affect correlation coefcients as well as the assumptions and limitations of correlation methods in structural equation modeling.
