ABSTRACT
It is the purpose of this book to discuss wisdom and management in the context of a knowledge-based economy where knowledge is not the same thing as wisdom. In line with this, a central concern of the book is to consider the implications of knowledge in the absence of wisdom. Having made this point, we recognize the important links between knowledge and wisdom. For these reasons it is necessary to discuss knowledge in some detail.
