ABSTRACT

Human neuropsychology is the study of brain structure and function. It is a vast science, and just the weight of its textbooks make that painfully obvious to the neuropsychologist in training. For the purposes of this book, we thought it was particularly important to focus on two issues that often face parents. These are encapsulated in the following questions from parents:

· My daughter Jenna, a bright 9-year-old, seems to be having trouble focusing in class. The teachers think she should be evaluated for some kind of attention de®cit disorder. What should I do?
