ABSTRACT

Together with children and atelieristas, ‘professional marvellers’ as Malaguzzi once defined and prophesized teachers to be, are central characters in this book. In this chapter, in particular, I will attempt a deeper analysis of relations between ateliers and classes, between atelieristas and teachers. As Sergio Manghi says, today’s society and culture,

have given us inescapable co-responsibility for everything that takes place, to ourselves and others, in contexts we are part of. The difficulty lies in giving ourselves to the historically new task of learning through others, reciprocally and uninterruptedly, starting each time from the beginning, however pleasant or unpleasant it may be.
