ABSTRACT
Acting processes have evolved enormously over the last four hundred years, but before we look specifically at the people who shaped that evolution, let’s take a snapshot of some broader issues that influence acting, starting with our very basic human desires of ‘being affective’ and ‘wanting witnesses’ to our lives.
