ABSTRACT
The G8 consists of the governments of the seven most advanced industrial
countries (the USA, Japan, Germany, France, Canada, Italy and the United
Kingdom) and Russia. This group of countries meets to co-ordinate co-opera-
tion on economic issues. As such, these meetings have a substantial impact.
