ABSTRACT

This chapter will be relevant to the section ‘FM4 – World Cinema’ in the WJEC’s A level in Film Studies. It will be directly applicable to questions relating to ‘German and Soviet cinemas of the 1920s’ but you should note the particular requirements of this section of the syllabus. Notice in particular that you should be able to deal with two main films and have some idea of how the styles being considered might have been used in one further film.
