ABSTRACT
This chapter will be relevant to the section FM4 – Varieties of Film Experience: Issues and Debates in the WJEC’s A level in Film Studies. It will be directly applicable to questions relating to ‘Popular Film and Emotional Response’ in Section B of that paper, but should also suggest general approaches to film that will be applicable to other areas being examined.
