ABSTRACT
What needs to be produced for the Small Scale Research Project? The Small Scale Research Project is likely to begin with an idea based around a topic (such as Hong Kong martial arts movies), or arising out of a single film (such as RocknRolla (Dark Castle Entertainment, UK 2008, Dir: Guy Ritchie) as an example of contemporary gangster film), and should very much arise out of student interest, excitement and a sense of involvement, as it will need to be driven by passion and enthusiasm. Once the first idea has been considered, it needs to be fleshed out to see if research in this area is feasible, and if it is seen as so then the project formally begins with the Project Proposal Form – a document that is sent to a moderator for approval.
