ABSTRACT

M ODERN communication technology is changing the way peopleexchange information with one another. The effects of informa-tion technology on human behavior is a relatively new area of research gaining more attention each year as new communication and electronic advances continue to influence our culture. Within the past decade we have seen the integration of the computer and the telephone. More recently we have witnessed the marriage ofcomputer and television technology into new forms of information retrieval, such as videotex and electronic entertainment (video games, for example).
