ABSTRACT
Whereas the previous chapter reviewed studies that have investigated the validity of think-alouds in fields other than language acquisition (largely with non-verbal tasks), this chapter focuses on those studies that have been conducted with L2 learners while they engaged in L2 tasks. The nine L2 studies are reviewed in chronological order below.
