ABSTRACT
In 1981, DeLorean Motorcars Ltd began production of the DeLorean DMC-12 in Dunmurry near the city of Belfast in Northern Ireland. Over a period of three years from 1981 to 1983, 8,583 cars were produced and sold. In 1983, production of the DeLorean ceased. Most cars were sold in the United States.1
