ABSTRACT
This book has focused on research carried out with learning communities undergoing change. Collecting narratives within the context of design projects has led me to reflect on the role of the researcher within this process. What part should researchers play in narrative construction? Who have been the narrators? Could others develop the role in different ways? This chapter discusses questions which have arisen about the roles of researchers and participants involved in visual, participatory research projects.
