ABSTRACT
real-virtual regional innovation systems allow discussion of the general form of relationship between the real and the virtual dimension of an island of innovation, and the methods to enhance innovation through knowledge management tools and information technologies. Starting from the technology dissemination practices of the project InnoRegio (seminars, audits, pilot projects for technology demonstration) we investigate the conditions that make a real-virtual innovation environment operational and useful to companies, technology suppliers, and technology intermediary organizations.
