ABSTRACT
The principal concern in this chapter is the social issue-or problem or challenge-under conditions of boundarylessness. An initial understanding of the peculiar behavior of social issues in an increasingly boundaryless world will go some distance toward explaining why and how various organizations are changing their own behavior in response to contemporary social challenges.
