ABSTRACT

Project and corporate learning linked to continuous improvement provides the focus of this chapter, which fully explores the concept of developing, and the advantages of becoming, a learning organisation. The various types of learning processes are described and their importance and links to project and corporate enhancement are established for the reader and for constructionrelated organisations. The key issue of the control function and the vital part it plays in any improvement process, whether it is encapsulated within a quality or environmental system and at project or corporate level, is explored.
